Blair, American Professors, Ex-Canada Minister For JIFORM Summit In US

The JIFORM Intercontinental Migration Summit to be hosted by the Medgar Evers College (MEC)’s Department of Public Administration of the City University of New York (CUNY) has attracted top American scholars that have confirmed their participation as speakers.

According to the Journalists International Forum For Migration (JIFORM) headquartered in Nigeria comprising over 300 journalists covering migration, human trafficking and Diaspora matters across the continent, the event was slated for October 31-November 14, 2022.

President of the JIFORM, Ajibola Abayomi confirmed the participation of the Chairperson of the nationally ranked Department of Public Administration at the MEC of CUNY), Dr. Zulema Blair, a professor of in the school; Byron E. Price, Ph.D, a professor of public administration and the former Dean of the School of Business at the MEC and the former Lillie and Nathan Ackerman Chair of Social Justice at Baruch College (Visiting Endowed Professor),

The list also included Ms. Vergil Ratliff, an adjunct professor for over 30 years at the Houston Community and Ms Phelisa Nkomo, a development economist by profession, a feminist and social justice activist with her experience rooted from community activism and national and global economic justice organization dating back from the Global debt cancellation movement and Global Coalition on Climate Justice Network.

They are to be joined by speakers and participants from other continents including the former Secretary of State and the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration in Canada, Honorable, Gerry Weiner; member of the African Union Labour Advisory Committee from Ghana, Dr Asie Kabuki Ocansey; Mr William Gois, Regional Director Migrant Forum in Asia with top government officials and migration advocates from Australia, England, Germany, India, Austral, China and other nations.
