The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) on Sunday received 23 Nigerian returnees from Togo at Seme-Krake Joint Border Post and have presented them for Covid 19 examination.

The returnees according to a statement issued by the National Public Relations Officer of NIS, Deputy Comptroller, Sunday James have been handed over to the Lagos State Government Ministry of Health Officials in line with the directive of Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) for further screening.

The statement affirmed that, the Comptroller General of the NIS, Muhammad Babandede MFR on receiving the report  of the returnees directed that the control post carryout proper profiling and documentation of the migrants.

The breakdown are as follows: Anambra-6,Ogun-3, Delta-3, Edo-2, Imo-2, Oyo-1,Benue-1,Abia-1,Enugu-1,Ekiti-1.

They were presented by the NIS after proper screening according to the guidelines of World Health Organization and Port Health Officials.

Babandede also ceased the opportunity to wish Nigerians a happy Easter as they Stay safe.
