Delta CPS: Ahon Testimony To Excellence-JIFORM

The Journalists International Forum For Migration (JIFORM) has described the appointment of Mr Festus Ahon, the Vanguard Newspaper Bureau Chief in Asaba, Delta State as Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the state Governor as a testimony to excellence.

Ahon, is a member of the JIFORM, a non-profit international media body with over 300 journalists focusing on migration reportage across the continents, few hours after his innaguration on Monday, the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, pronounced him as the new CPS.

The JIFORM President, Dr Ajibola Abayomi in a statement made available to the media said “Ahon is a reserved journalist with high reputation whose appointment would serve Delta State well. Indeed, hearty cheers to a leader in the journalism professnalism.

“This is a hallmark of excellence for a journalist who is dedicated to his calling with passion. Last year as a member of the JIFORM, he exhibited high level of discipline and professionalism at our global migration sunnit in Canada.

“I salute the governor for having eyes of excellence to discover Ahon. This is the way to go for other state executives who want to leave a legacy of choosing the best hands to serve the people.”
