The official capital city of Benin Republic, Porto Novo will on January 29 play host to dignitaries from several countries and people from all walks of life.

This is as the prestigious Ecole Superieure des sciences, de commerce et administration des enterprise du Benin (ESCAE University) confer Honoris Causa (Doctorate degree) in Public Administration on distinguished personalities during her 2022 convocation.
Recipients include, the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Sierra Leone, Alpha Timbo; President, Journalists International Forum For Migration (JIFORM), Ajibola Abayomi from Nigeria; member of the African Union Labour-Migration Advisory Committee, Her Excellency Princess Asie Kabuki Ocansey from Ghana and another Nigerian, the Director General, Cross River State Migration Control Agency, Prince Abuo Michael Nku.
The Governing Council of the institution stated that the awardees were listed for honour based on investigation and recommendations from several groups.
Ajibola, the President of JIFORM is a holder of a Higher National Diploma (HND) and Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from both the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic formerly Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta and ESCAE University.
The Journalist is also an alumnus of the Pan-Atlantic University and University of Lagos both in Nigeria where he studied Specialised Reporting and English Language respectively. Apart from these, he has a Master of Business Administration from the Samuel Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Oyo State, and various international certificates in journalism.
He was one of the selected journalists by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) that drafted the ethical guide for migration coverage at a global migration workshop in Tunisia in 2019.
Timbo, a labour expert and lawyer, holds an LLB (Honours) Degree in law having attended the Sierra Leone Law School and was called to the Bar in October 2006. He attended Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone-USL (1981-1985), and had postgraduate Diploma in Education.
He was appointed Secretary General, Sierra Leone Teachers Union, (SLTU) in 1990 a position he held for Ten (10) years until he was appointed Minister of Labour, Social Security, and Industrial Relations in 2000.
The honorary citizen of Kentucky, Louisville, United States of America, and a graduate of CTF John Thompson Fellowship Program in Canada has worked with great Institutions like the TUC, EI, OATUU, ACILS and AFLCIO and ILO.
Ocansey, a migration expert with over 30 year-experience is a Principal Migration Consultant on Decent work and Direct Investments for the Government of Sierra Leone.
She is a theologian, Engineer, amazon best-selling author and represents over 200 million diasporans at the AU through Diaspora African Forum (DAF).
The princess attended Wesley Girls’ High School in Cape Coast, and Rutgers University – College of Engineering where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic Engineering, a Graduate Certificate in Packaging Science and Engineering/specializing in Plastics Engineering, as well as attaining a graduate certificate in International Trade and Finance from NYU, New York. She obtained her doctorate in Divinity from CICA, Canada.
Prince Michael Abuo graduated from the University of Calabar. He is an alumnus of the United States Government International Visitor’s Leadership Programme, a leadership educational initiative held in Washington and national delegate to the recently held United Nation COP 26 Conference in Glasgow, he is also a winner of several national and regional awards, and others.
The National Vice Chairman South-South of the Nigeria Youth Chambers of Commerce has served with an international non-governmental organization Children of Rural Africa, a U.S registered non-governmental organization as the Nigeria Project Coordinator.
Abuo is the founder and leader of Cross River State largest online and offline sociopolitical organization tagged the Cross River State Political Network (CRISPON) and has held several government appointments.
