For Africans willing to migrate to Canada with ease, the road is now clear as assurances had been given by Altec global, a company reputable for 99.9 percent rating in visa processing for 20 year.

At the African Migration Summit organized by the Journalist International Forum For Migration in partnership with Nekotech Center of Excellence, Ghana Chaired by H E Dr Princess Ocansey, a bestselling author and member African Union Labour-Migration Advisory Committee Susan was awarded Migration Meritorious Award for her support for African media.

This is in recognition of her support for JIFORM advocacy against irregular migration.

The multiple career woman counselled African youths between the ages of 30-35 to avail themselves several opportunities to work and live in Canada if they so desired.

The summit themed Labour Migration: Shifting The Paradigm To Benefit Africa chaired by Alpha Timbo, the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Sierra Leone had highly placed dignitaries in attendance that included, the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Professor Ben Ayade; and Professor Patrick Lumumba from Kenya.

Participants at  the virtual cum physical event were Claudia Turbay Quintero, the Colombian ambassador in Ghana and the dean of all foreign mission corps; Chairman Nigeria House of Representatives Diaspora Committee, Hon Tolulope Akande-Sadipe and member African Union Labour-Migration Advisory Committee, Dr Princess Ocansey and others.

Speaking, President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana praised the organizers of the event saying it was a good development that would reshape the migration policies in several African countries if sustained.

The president, represented by Mr Akwasi Awua Ababio, the Director Diaspora Affairs at the Presidency, pledged that Ghana shall continue to protect the interest of her citizens abroad as evident in the rescue of about 2000 Ghanaians from slavery in the Middle East recently.

Filling questions from participants from Ghana, Benin Republic and Sierra Leone, Susan Gong, former member of the Immigration and Refugee Board, Canada, who founded Altec Global in 1992, guaranteed Africans of multiples successes in the visa application as the north American country welcomes 1.2 million permanent residents in the next three if applicants subject themselves to the processes instituted by the company.

Altec with 99% success rate, also has on its board, former Canada Minister of Citizenship and Immmigration, Gerry Weiner,  Mr James Metcalfe, an ex-immigration officer and  former consular now working to help people to relocate to canada.

Susan, the ex- Vice President and former Director of the Scarborough York Region, Chinese Business Association and Ontario Commissioner of Oath, former Director and Vice Secretary-General of Taiwanese Entrepreneurs is a recipient of the Chinese Woman Pioneer Award.

According to her :“ The time to migrate to Canada is now as in 2021 canada will accept 421, 000 canndidates and subsequently will take 411, 000 and 401, 000 migrants in 2022 and 2023.

She encouraged Africans to take advantage of itemised programmes including Express Entry, Start-up Visa Program that have Provincial Nominee Programs, Canadian Study Permit and Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) to much to Canada.

The ALTEC boss hinted that  the French-Speaking skilled workers stream has some advantages as:“Ontario is looking to welcome more francophone immigrants to complement an already-existing population of around half a million Franco-Ontarians. Successful applicants receive 600 additional  points, followed by an Initiation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.” She explained.

On why some Africans applicants were refused visa in 2019, she identified incomplete forms, fraudulent application, inconsistent application, lack of supplementary documents/evidence and lack of funds as parts of the shortcomings.
